To become the technology infrastructure healthcare in Africa is built on — the platforms, intelligence, devices, and expertise that turn every clinic into a modern one, and every dataset into better care.
We build and operate the digital infrastructure healthcare providers need to deliver modern care. We start in eye care, and we build every product from day one to serve every market we reach, not just the one we started in.
Orbit’s chartered scope spans clinical software platforms, telemedicine and remote patient monitoring, artificial intelligence and analytics for clinical and diagnostic data, connected medical devices, secure cloud health-data infrastructure, and the advisory and workforce-development services that put all of it to work inside real institutions.
Our first product, OpticEMR — a multi-tenant electronic medical records platform purpose-built for eye care — is where that ambition becomes real today: a working proof that our approach to clinical software holds up in an actual practice, with actual patients, and the foundation the rest of what we build stands on.
Orbit was founded by two practicing clinicians — an optometrist and a physician — and that clinical grounding shapes how the company builds. Engineering rigour and clinical credibility are treated as equally load-bearing; neither is allowed to be the weaker half of anything we ship.
