Products

One product in market. We will say so until there are two.

Orbit is chartered across eight areas of health technology. This page lists what we have built and put in front of clinicians. OpticEMR, our electronic medical records platform, leads it.

OpticEMR

Live

In pilot deployment, ahead of full commercial rollout

A multi-tenant electronic medical records platform built for eye care.

OpticEMR is the first concrete expression of Orbit's scope, and the proving ground for how we intend to build everything that follows it. It brings every part of an eye care practice's operations into one connected system — not a charting tool with billing bolted on the side.

Engineering posture

  • Engineering rigour. Multi-tenant security and data isolation — multi-factor authentication and row-level data isolation enforced at the database layer — built in from day one, not retrofitted.
  • Genuinely multinational. A jurisdiction-neutral architecture, with pricing and configuration already built for Nigerian, emerging, mid-income, and high-income markets, and tested outside Nigeria during development.
  • Clinician-built. Founded by two practicing clinicians — an optometrist and a physician — not outside vendors guessing at clinical workflow.

Eight modules, one patient record

Every module reads and writes the same record, so the clinical, financial, and operational pictures of a practice never drift apart.
  • Clinical Charting

Encounter documentation, refraction, and optical + medical prescriptions.

  • Billing & Invoicing

Point-of-sale billing tied directly to the clinical record.

  • Inventory & Pharmacy

Stock and dispensing tracked and connected to billing.

  • HMO & Claims Tracking

Insurance and NHIA claims tracked inside the same patient record.

  • Patient Portal

Self-service booking and record access for patients.

  • Teleconsultation

Remote visits built into the same encounter workflow.

  • Multi-Branch & Staff

Role-based staff accounts across every branch of a practice.

  • Reporting & Analytics

Practice-wide visibility into operations and revenue.

What comes next

We are building in stages on purpose: prove the model in one category with real practices, then extend the same discipline outward. Future products will be added to this page when they exist and are in clinicians’ hands — not when they are planned. If you want to know what we are chartered to build next, that is set out in full, with honest labels, on What We Build.
